The Opportunity
Hoffman Marketing Communication had been made aware by another SEO firm of some opportunities to improve but, felt being shoehorned into a “one size fits all” SEO package wasn’t what they wanted. They also sought to understand what was happening with their website (via Google Analytics) to help direct re-design efforts and inform their in-house content marketing strategy.
The Solution
After meeting with company representatives and learning more about their needs and goals, we created a custom solution for them which comprised of:
- SEO analysis with backlink identification and clean-up support
- Google Analytics consulting and report creation
The Results
Our Google Analytics consulting resulted in the creation of website goals and awareness of what action visitors were taking towards becoming customers of the company. These customized reports and insights allowed Hoffman Marketing Communication to take action on website enhancements and ramp up content marketing and lead generating efforts
As a result of the SEO analysis, we analyzed and compiled a list of 1,000 backlinks (links to Hoffman’s website) of questionable quality. These were crawled, ranked and graded by our in-house staff and shared with the client for further refinement. We also created a removal process that leveraged Hoffman Marcom internal resources and our experience in disavow file preparation and submission to remove 80% of the linked pages from Hoffman’s link profile with Google. The upshot of this work was a measurable increase in organic traffic and requests for white paper samples.
